May 23, 2015 - Dinner
Had never been to Chopped Leaf in the Clearview Market but had heard many good things about the food, so was looking forward to trying it out.
First impressions - bright, friendly atmosphere - wasn't sure how to order so the gal came behind the counter and explained the process. Ordered the number one bowl with black bean corn salsa, avocado, cheddar, cilantro, pita chips, sour cream, salsa. $8.50 plus $3 for chicken and a fruit infused water for $1.50.
When paying, I was confused about the tip showing up on the machine. When I order from a counter, like Opa or similar restaurants, I've never tipped before receiving my food. Felt a little awkward. There was only one other couple in the restaurant so as I went to find table to sit at - was a little disappointed that many still had crumbs from previous diners. Found a table, wiped it off - all good.
No longer than five minutes - the food arrives and was delicious. Was impressed that it looked as good as the picture.
All in all, enjoyed the meal and would give Chopped Leaf another try.
