Description:

Red Deer Cultural Heritage Society operates the historic Cronquist House, a three story Victorian style Brick farmhouse built in 1911 by one of Red Deers early settlers. This non-profit society operates Cronquist House (at Bower Ponds) and Festival Hall (by the Memorial Centre). Cronquist House offers meeting room space and catering facilities. Festival Hall accommodates 300 people for meetings and receptions. Formerly named the Folk Festival, the Society is best know for producing Canada Day celebrations at Bower Ponds since 1980. Programs each year involve about 10,000 participants.
